    FLEECE COMPONENT: INSULATION THANKS TO AIR

    The fleece component is designed to trap air in the space formed by its texture; this air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. It is the brushing of the knit fabric that traps the air.

    Component water resistance

    A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores.

    How to preserve the technical qualities of these trousers?

    Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water repellent-properties and optimise the garment's performance throughout its lifetime, we recommend using these products on every wash at a minimum.

    How do I choose the right kids’ clothing for snow hiking?

    To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle:
    layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
    layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outwards.
    layer 3: The jacket protects you from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind.
    The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.

    Greige is the fabric colour in its raw state without any dye. But what exactly is the relationship between colour and pollution? The process of dyeing textiles has a high environmental impact, it consumes energy and involves the use of a lot of water and chemical products for soaking in dye baths. Therefore choosing the colour greige is choosing the least-polluting colour.
