Wadding:
Synthetic component obtained by combining polyester fibres. More or less air is trapped depending on the size of the fibres. For the same mix of fibres, the thicker the wadding, the more air is trapped, the warmer it is.
What do you mean by a waterproof jacket?
The resistance of a fabric to water seepage. This is measured using an approved water pressure test. Knowing that the average water pressure of rain varies from 1000 mm to 2000 mm, a fabric is considered waterproof above 2000 mm. Our products resist pressure from 2000 to 10,000 mm. They are therefore very waterproof and suited to even the most extreme weather conditions.
What do you mean by sealed seams or waterproof strips?
These sealed (or taped) seams are closed with waterproof thermo-sealed strips. They are placed behind the seams and are essential for waterproofing clothing so that water cannot enter through capillarity (water being absorbed by the threads and holes of the fabric).
