Don't worry, the fabric used for this hat blocks UVs with a UPF over 50 (therefore excellent protection). Despite this, the standards also impose a certain coverage to be able to claim the product is UV proof. The brim of this sun hat is not sufficiently wide to meet the required standards. Nevertheless, your scalp will be well protected.
