    It has 2 outer storage pockets of elastic netting.
    Inside, there is a band to hold bottles and 2 net pockets for ice blocks.

    DURABILITY

    The use of reinforced polyester (PES) 600-denier fabric on the bottom of the ice box to increase the sturdiness of the product in the mountains and in the country.

    *The denier indicates the weight in grams of the fabric thread, for a length of 9 meters (29.5'). So, for a 600-denier fabric, this means it weighs 600 grams (1.3 lbs) for 9 meters.

    Warning!
    This ice box is not watertight.
    It is normal to observe moisture or water inside the ice box (e.g. caused by condensation) that seeps through the seams. This avoids unwanted water or moisture building up inside of the ice box.

    FOLDING

    You can reduce your ice box's volume significantly by folding it correctly, for more compact storage. Here our tips for correct folding:
    - open the 2 valves and close the zipper of your product;
    - place the ice box on your back and take both sides with your hands;
    - press to evacuate any air;
    - set it flat, without letting go of the sides, and press on top of it to compress it as much as possible
    - close the valves, and finally, lock it all

    HOW TO USE

    To improve the thermal performance of the ice box, we recommend:
    - Finish inflating the ice box, by blowing in the valves;
    - using ice blocks;
    - leaving the ice box in the shade;
    - only opening it when necessary, and closing it quickly.

    Test product

    The European standard EN 12546-2 indicates the ice box’s performance without cold accumulators. To obtain this standard, tests are carried out by an external lab. These tests consist of placing water at 41°F in the ice box, which is in turn placed in an environment at 90°F. The time that the water takes to heat back up to 59°F is then measured. As for this ice box, the time recorded was 11 hours.

    It is in France, at the foot of the Mont Blanc, that our design team imagined, thought up and designed the Quechua products. We test them on the terrain with other campers to make sure that they perform as they should in terms of comfort and resistance. Jura, Auvergne... We headed out onto as many different terrains as possible, in all weather conditions. These experiences were highly beneficial for us, allowing us to hear your feedback and start thinking about our future products!
